Gateway to the North Shore

The Penn Toyota “Roslyn Rocks” summer concert featuring music by Echoes of the Eagles, Long Island’s best Eagles tribute band, took place on Wednesday, July 23 at Gerry Park in Roslyn. The annual concert, presented by the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce and the Town of North Hempstead, was a fabulous evening. Featuring Eagles hits such as Hotel California, Take It Easy, and Lyin’ Eyes, they had the crowd of approximately 400 people dancing, swaying, and singing along. The high-energy concert, which lasted almost 2 ½ hours, included many of their greatest hits under a perfect summer sky.

The performers in Echoes of the Eagles are lifelong friends for over 45 years, having grown up together predominantly in New Hyde Park and Great Neck. They played Little League baseball together and were on the swim team together as early as 8 years old.

Speakers prior to the show were Lou Federico, VP of Special Events of Roslyn Chamber of Commerce, Jennifer DeSena, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor, and Mariann Dalimonte, Council Member of District 6.
